I am aware that many in the Messianic and Hebraic Movements do not embrace this, but I believe the Scriptures teach that The GODHEAD consists of three separate PERSONS that are in perfect unity or Tri-unity or Trinity. I’ll share this brief article in an effort (by no means an exhaustive study) to show you why I believe this way…
Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;” (There is either more than one GOD OR GOD is more than one in persons…)
Deuteronomy 4:35 “To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.”
Isaiah 45:5 “I am the LORD, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me.” (Dt 4:35 & Isa 45:5 rules out the possibility of the True GOD allowing for more that ONE GOD)
Isn’t it The FATHER, WHO speaks to HIS SON?
Matthew 3:17 “And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 17:5-6 “While (Peter) was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (If this is NOT THE FATHER, then who would it be? YESHUA is NOT a ventriloquist is HE?:=)
Hebrews 1:5-9 “For to which of the angels did He ever say:
“You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”? 6But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” 7And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.” 8But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.”
Finally, we are told of The SPIRIT, WHO is identified as ONE that works in perfect unity with The FATHER and THE SON…
Matthew 3:16-17 “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I (THE FATHER) am well pleased.”
John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 16:7-11 (YESHUA speaking) “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
John 14:26 (YESHUA speaking)”But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
Acts 5:3-4 “But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
So, I believe that the Scriptures reveal that there is ONE GOD, WHO exists in THREE Persons… The FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT…
Even in The Shemah of Deuteronomy 6:4-5 we see this premise. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (The word “one” used here and translated from the Hebrew means “united, altogether”).
In Hebrew it reads;
Shema Yisrael, Yehowah, Elohainoo, Yehowah aichod.
“Hear, Israel, Jehovah, our God, is one Jehovah.”
May you be blessed as you seek HIM, WHO is ONE, and as you experience ALL THREE!

Interesting, my family read John 9-21 over the feast of unleavened bread, since then I’d been thinking about the trinity. I have a hard time understanding it or maybe I’m not looking at correctly. My error may be that when I think of the trinity as I‘ve heard it taught I think of one divided in to three equal portions (Father, Son, Spirit). The thing I can’t get past is that the Son and the Spirit always exalt, give credit or esteem to the Father as if there is ONE supreme being with two ever obedient servants, I can’t assign proportions to it.
John12: 49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
John14: 10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
HE is a hard person to understand. This CREATOR of ALL! YESHUA even says that HIS FATHER is “greater” in John 10:29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30I and My Father are one.” and in John 14:29-30 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30I and My Father are one.” Also in Isaiah 55 we are told that everything pertaining to HIM will not be easily understood… ““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” But we will know HIS Truth…HE has promised us that… And we will be free! The statement that Paul makes in his letter to the Corinthians is also a facinating one! “For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (1Cor 2:16)
